Certified Craft Butchers

Brady’s Butchers dates back to 1926 and for 95 years, we have proudly served the people of Athenry and neighbouring townlands. A lot has changed since we first opened our doors however the one constant that remains is our commitment to selling 100% Irish meat (locally sourced where possible).

Brady’s Butchers is a Certified Craft Butchers. We are members of the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland (ACBI) All of our butchers are trained to the highest level and Brady’s Butchers is one of only three affiliated members of the Certified Craft Butchers of Ireland Association in Co. Galway.

Abattoir

The Abattoir at Brady’s Butchers is a tradition that dates back to the roots of the Brady family. The facility is EU approved which means we operate to the highest food processing standards and are regularly inspected and audited by the HSE and Department of Agriculture.

The Abattoir is located on site to the rear of our shop on Church Street. All meat processed by our skilled team of butchers is locally sourced – in fact, all beef and lamb processed and sold in our shop comes from a 10 mile radius. All our beef is grass-fed and is matured for a minimum of 28 days which ensures maximum tenderness and flavour, offering our customers a truly traceable experience from farm to fork.

Quality First

• All our meat is 100% Irish and locally sourced where possible. Our beef and lamb is sourced from approved farmers within 10 miles of Athenry and expertly matured to ensure exceptional flavour and tenderness.
• All our chicken is 100% Irish and hand-boned on site which means we can stand over the quality and traceability of our products.
• All our fish is also locally sourced from Mary’s Fish in Galway. Fish is delivered to our shop every Wednesday morning.
